The online roundtable highlights construction projects and opportunities for German-Egyptian
cooperation in the areas of planning and construction. In cooperation with the “Architektur-Export”(NAX)
network of the Federal Chamber of Architects, the EMA presents best-practice examples of
responsible, innovative and creative solutions for sustainable urban development thanks to
an expert panel of practitioners, consultants and representatives of the construction industry.

Qatar is a multifaceted and fascinating country: in December it will host the soccer World Cup.
A few weeks ago, Federal Minister of Economics Dr. Robert Habeck the country in connection with
the energy cooperation between Germany and Qatar. The Emir of Qatar is expected in Berlin this week
to further specify the partnership. And what not everyone knows: last year the capital Doha was
already a hub for the airlift from Afghanistan. The German ambassador in Qatar, Dr. Claudius Fischbach,
has been on site since 2020 and will present the current developments in German-Qatarian relations
and the role of Qatar in global issues to the EMA members in a small group from his insider perspective.

Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology,
and Eng. Amr Mahfouz, CEO of the IT Industry Development Agency (ITIDA),
for her valuable and practical insights into Egypt's comprehensive and
ambitious digitization strategy. The event not only highlighted Egypt's
efforts to cultivate, expand and empower digital talent in the country,
but also renewed the commitment to bilateral international cooperation in
the IT sector and other digital innovation initiatives. The EMA stays on
the ball and is ready to make its contribution to the implementation of
the Egyptian digitization strategy.
